Ultimately Only We Know What We're Capable Of
By Josh Hinds
Maybe it was just yesterday, or if you're lucky its been a while, either way you've likely had someone tell you your idea couldn't be done. Have you ever pondered the question as to why someone made such a bold statement?
More often then not these folks aren't intentionally trying to "steal our dreams". A lot of times it is a case where they're trying to apply their own abilities and skills as to whether they could achieve the particular idea or not. In doing so it becomes a bit humbling. Rather than simply saying they don't believe *they* could accomplish it, it's easier to simply brush the entire idea itself off as unachievable (no one wants to admit someone else could do it if they don't feel as though they can).
This is why it becomes so very important to get opinions from various sources. While it is important to have people that can look at things from a "realistic" perspective, don't discount the opinions of those that dream big dreams! In combining both views you'll inevitably find a happy medium, and in the process I am certain you'll achieve BIG things!
